Three Funerals and a Wedding

Having spent yesterday morning at an organist colleague's funeral, the afternoon playing for a funeral at Nab Wood, and then returned home to open the mail. I found a letter from my cousin's wife informing me that he had died. Not a memorable start to Monday you could say.

On a serious note Dot and I got round to discussing the different stages of life (all very deeply philosophical!), and we came to the conclusion that the first stage is when you and friends are getting married. This is followed a few years later by invitations to a spate of Christenings. Then there is 40th/50th/60th birthdays in and amongst their chldren's weddings, and all this is followed up by a spate of funerals.

Cavendish Pavilion

On a more cheerful note I can report that the flowers for Hannah and Ben's Wedding Reception have now all been sorted out, and we have learnt that the Cavendish Pavilion is in the process of having a complete refurbishment - new wallpaper, carpets etc. In future the waiters and waitresses will be dressed in little black numbers (well, the waitresses will!)
