Bobby arrived late morning with Daniel, who will be doing the rendering and plastering. By coincidence Daniel used to live next door to us some years ago.
Bobby has sealed all the floorboards to the skirtings, so there should be no icy blasts blowing into the kitchen during windy weather now!
Tomorrow, if the weather remains decent we hope to visit the cuckoo festival, which is held annually at Austwick.
The plan of action in the kitchen, whilst we are away, is for Daniel to render and top coat the walls and for Bobby to work round him, probably fitting floorboards where necessary, and also fitting boarding on top of the floorboards, so that the floor will then be ready to have a floorcovering laid when the kitchen has been fitted.
