Only about an other 120 hours to go. Or put another way, another four and half days, but like the words of the hymn......
"Nearer and nearer draws the time
The time that shall surely be....."
I'm sure by now you will have worked out what I'm talking about, but just in case you're still wondering - it's Hannah & Ben's Wedding!
The bride's dress and the bridesmaid's dresses are already safely "under wraps" - I won't be allowed to see them until Saturday morning!
Things are hotting up a pace now. Tomorrow sees us going over to Ilkley to get Nana to choose her wedding outfit. We also have to collect a Z bed so that all the bridesmaids can sleep with us on Friday night.
On Wednesday I will have to return to Ilkely to collect my suit and various other bits and pieces for some of the ushers.
Thursday is an "all systems go" day, concluding with a wedding rehearsal in church at 7.30 pm.,
On Friday 36 hours in the day wouldn't come amiss! In the morning the flowers have to be collected from a shop in Bingley, then the ladies of the Bentley household plus two church members will be decorating the church. Sometime later various decorations and other (as yet) secret items have to be transported to Cavendish Pavilion, along with seating plans, table decorations and a hundred and one other things! Later in the evening Ruby has to be deposited at "Walkies" where she will be staying for a couple of nights.
Weather forecasts are being carefully consulted at the moment.........
