Alnwick

I mentioned Alnwick briefly in a previous part of this holiday blog when I was writing about Barter Books. Alnwick is a lovely town with lots on offer for the visitor.

I'll just briefly mention one or two of them.

Alnwick Castle, is a superb place, well worth visitng. It has been used in numerous films, and can be seen in some of the Harry Potter films.

Alnwick Gardens is another "must visit" attraction. The gardens were the brain child of present Duchess of Northumberland

Alnwick Gardens Tree House - For eating out, the "must visit" is the Tree House Restaurant which is situated near the entrance to the gardens.
