I have just returned from Hannah and Ben's. There has been great excitement there due to the fact that Dolly has given birth to (at the latest count) four kittens!
The first one was a black one with white paws - very similar to Socks, the second one was a real little tiger, the third was another black one with a white blaze on its chest, and the last one was another tabby.
We saw the first one being born. Dr. Ben was on hand to administer mouth to mouth (if necessary), but Dolly managed on her own. Midwife Hannah oversaw the birth of the second kitten, and by the third and fourth kittens Dolly was giving birth without too much difficulty. (She had got into the swing of things) and was biting through the umbilical cords and cleaning up the placenta before the next kitten arrived each time.
All four were busy feeding from Mum as we left them.
No pictures as yet, but I don't think it will be too long before there are some available!
