Back in the Land of Blog

Greetings from BillatBingley. Safely back in the land of Blog!

We have had a super holiday. Twelve of the fourteen days were sunny and bright, and one of the two days which started with a sea fret, managed to improve as we drove inland and eventually the sun broke through.

It has been a holiday where culture with a capital K has predominated. I met up with Judith O’Reilly – author of “Wife in the North” and we went to a performance of “A Winter’s Tale” (Shakespeare), and Dot knew one of the actors (she nurses his grandmother) so we spent time chatting with him in the bar after the performance.

Ruby has developed an affinity with swans, and not once, but twice she has been swimming with two swans and their cygnets – though I suspect the swans probably thought she was a seal, as only her head could be seen, and there are lots of seals where she was swimming!

More tomorrow!
