and it was no better if you turned in the opposite direction and looked up the road!
The snow really was coming down quite thick and fast. This is what it looked like out of the landing widow as it fell in the drive.
Looking up the fields at the rear of our house you could barely make out the trees and bushes which form a division between the field directly behind our house and the field above it.
The pot plants in the garden had disappeared under a blanket of snow, and the bush looked fairly heavily laden with snow too !
The tree in the field directly behind us was beginning to become lined with a layer of snow on its branches.
The sky (or what you can see of it) seems to have that ashen grey look about it, as though it is laden with snow! I wonder if this the first sign of the Winter the forecasters have been promising us?
